Open to new opportunities

I help businesses work smarter and look after their customers.

Business Consultant·People Person·AI in Practice

For more than 15 years I have helped organisations, from NHS trusts to a national insurer, transform the way they work. I listen first, I build relationships that last, and I use AI every day to get more done.

What I bring

Three things you get when you hire me

A business transformation consultant

I understand the problem first, then I help people through the change.

I open every new client relationship with a SWOT review of their business. Then I build a business case that shows how a change will work, what it will cost and how long it will take.

  • Discovery workshops and process reviews
  • Business cases for finance directors and CEOs
  • Change management, from first workshop to live service

A people person

Customers stay because they trust me.

My career started in hospitality, and I have never lost that habit of looking after people. I am honest with customers from day one, and I am just as comfortable training a team as I am presenting to a board.

  • Saved a hospital customer that was about to cancel
  • Hands-on user training, including for British Transport Police
  • Volunteer Lead at a local soup kitchen

AI in practice

I have kept moving, and I have used technology to do it.

Over the last two years I have completed an AI course, run my own online business and published regular posts on AI. I don't just talk about technology. I use it every day.

  • AI for Business Transformation certificate
  • Learning n8n workflow automation
  • Weekly AI posts on LinkedIn

My story

I think about my career the way I play chess

Plan ahead, understand the other side of the board, and make every move count.

I enjoy helping people reach their goals. That has been true in every job I have had, from looking after hotel guests to helping NHS trusts and insurers change the way they work.

Each chapter below gave me something I still use. Put together, they make me a consultant who understands technology and never forgets the people who have to use it.

The openingWhere it started

Learning what great service looks like

Hospitality, trained in Switzerland and England

I studied hotel management and then worked front and back of house at the Baur au Lac in Zurich and The Park Lane Hotel in Piccadilly, London.

What it gave me: people remember how you looked after them.

DevelopingEarlier career

Helping people use their technology

Customer Training and Development Officer, Danwood Group

I trained staff on site in schools, law firms, banks and local government so they could get the most from their equipment.

What it gave me: a sale is only the start of the customer's journey.

The middlegame2009 – 2019

Ten years as a Business Consultant

Océ UK, which became part of Canon UK in 2013

I worked across pre-sales and post-sales on document, workflow and software solutions, from discovery workshops and demonstrations through to handover, training and service reviews.

  • Managed a pipeline of 30 to 35 accounts and consistently hit 95–110% of a £250,000 half-year quota.
  • One of two consultants on a 49-site UK rollout for AXA Insurance.
  • Won a £1.5M NHS contract and wrote bids for Canon's partner channel.

What it gave me: how to lead business transformation at board level and manage change across many sites.

New lines2020 – 2024

Software, cloud and smaller teams

Lexmark International · MPS Monitor UK · British Assessment Bureau

At Lexmark I managed service delivery for global customers through the COVID period and recommended continuous improvements to how they worked. At MPS Monitor UK I was one of a sales team of three, selling a cloud platform across the UK, the Nordics and Germany. At British Assessment Bureau I sold software to new and existing customers and used HubSpot to track results.

What it gave me: confidence selling cloud software, and how to thrive in a lean team.

Thinking ahead2024 – now

Getting ready for where business is going

Learning, building and giving back

I completed an AI for Business Transformation course, I am learning n8n workflow automation, I publish weekly AI posts on LinkedIn and I run my own clothing brand. I have also given my time as Volunteer Lead at a soup kitchen in Southend.

This time has reinforced something I have always believed: technology only creates value when people understand it, trust it and use it.

What it gave me: I will bring more to my next role than I could have two years ago.

Projects I've led

Lead consultant, from first meeting to delivery

On my biggest projects I was the lead Business Consultant. I designed the solution, worked with the customer's senior team and saw it through.

A story I'm proud of

The NHS tender we wrote over three weekends

The new Director of IT and Infrastructure at West London NHS Trust was unhappy with their existing supplier and wanted to work with us directly.

The tender was due in under three months, and there was no bid team available to help. It was just me and an account manager, so we wrote it ourselves over three weekends. I designed the whole solution, Canon checked the bid for accuracy, and we won. I then stayed with the project right through to delivery.

That is how I like to work. If a customer trusts you enough to ask, you find a way to deliver.

Local government · Tender win

Lambeth Council

Lead Business Consultant

We won this one through a tender. I designed the solution and led the rollout across 27 sites over six months. We also linked the council's help desk directly into Canon's help desk.

Policing · Secure network

Civil Nuclear Constabulary

Spotted the opportunity, then led it

It began with one small installation. Talking with the IT Director, I learned they were about to tender for a new solution across all their UK sites, on a secure network. These were nuclear sites, so everyone working on them had to pass strict security vetting. I persuaded them to let us run a proof of concept, we tested it until it worked, and then we rolled it out across the UK. I designed it from start to finish.

Account growth

A UK private bank

Opened and grew the account

I won the account with a single, small installation. By delivering well and earning their trust, I grew it into equipment across their sites.

Healthcare · Saving an account

Papworth Hospital: the customer who was about to leave

The problem

The hospital had been through several account managers and had no one looking after it. IT issues were still unresolved. One morning the IT Director and Procurement Manager called me. They were upset, and said that unless things were fixed by the end of the month they would cancel the contract and go elsewhere.

What I did

I went to see them face to face and listened. I took their concerns back to my senior managers, agreed a plan, and came back with a solution they were happy with. Then I spoke to the IT Director every week and held the fort until a new account manager was in place.

The result

They did not cancel. Instead, they extended the contract and gave us a direct award. Because of the trust we had built, the IT Director later called me about a desktop scanner. I went to see him and found a bigger need: scanning that let nurses put documents straight into each patient's record on the hospital's Lorenzo system.

We won a contract for 56 devices and supported the hospital through its move to the Addenbrooke's site.

How I use AI

Experienced with customers. Practical with AI.

Many account managers know relationships but not AI. Many AI enthusiasts have never spent years looking after customers. I have done both.

For an employer, that means someone who can sit with a customer, understand how they work, and show them where AI can genuinely save time. No hype, just practical help.

Every day

I use AI daily to research, plan, write and build. It saves time and money, and it lets me respond faster.

Certified

I completed the AI for Business Transformation course with Academy Class in July 2026 and hold the certificate.

Still learning

I am learning n8n, a workflow automation tool, to connect systems and take repetitive work off people's desks.

Sharing what I learn

Since August 2026 I have published regular LinkedIn posts on how businesses can use AI, including a weekly series on winning tenders.

Using it in my own business

I run Final Score 2-1 with an online shop, a TikTok Shop and HubSpot, and I use AI to plan campaigns and create content.

This website

I planned this site, supplied every story and fact, and used AI to design and build it. It is a small example of what I can help a business do.
